When the Word “Slaughter” Reminds Us of God’s Love

“You are to keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; then the whole assembly of the community of Israel will slaughter the animals at twilight.” – Exodus 12:6 (CSB)

The word “slaughter” is such a dark word. There’s a sense of finality and destruction when it’s used. And yet, when we look at the word and connect it to Isaiah 53:7 and John 10:18, we are reminded of the limitless and unapologetic love of Jesus.
